God opens new doors of opportunity!!
We need your help to expand our ministry into
South
Korea. Huw has received an invitation to travel to
South Korea to take part in the 40th National Prayer
Conference. He will join with Korean Christian
leaders, Congressmen and greet the new President
of South Korea President Lee Myung-bak.
Huw and his colleague, fellow Welshman Dr.
Stephen Price, travelled to China and South Korea last
Autumn. As part of their visit they were invited to attend
the National Prayer Breakfast at the South Korean
Congress in Seoul. Huw sang to a packed audience
and met a number of eminent Christian politicians,
businessmen and church leaders at the event. As a
result of that meeting Huw and Stephen have received
this most recent invitation.
This event presents an exciting opportunity to build
bridges between Wales and Korea. It was a
Welshman (Robert Jermain Thomas) who took the
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to Korea in 1866. He
was martyred in the process of handing out bibles
near Pyongyang. Out of his martyrdom the first
Christian church was built in North Korea. Wales also
played a part in the great Pyong Yang revival of 1907,
as the news of this blessing reached China & the
Korean peninsula, and brought the flame of Revival to
these regions.
Huw and Stephen are hoping to be able to bring
official greetings from the Welsh Government to
President Lee, the Korean Christian leadership,
Korean Congress and the people of S.Korea.
Stephen will join Huw in S.Korea following his second
medical mission to North Korea.
Please pray for North and South Korea at this crucial
time.
